What is a Signature Guarantee? A Signature Guarantee is verification from a financial institution that a signature is not a forgery. A Signature Guarantee may be signed by an eligible guarantor and cannot be qualified in any way. See "Where can I get a Signature Guarantee," below.
When do I need a Signature Guarantee? A Signature Guarantee is required when:
- You wish to change the original address of record on your account.
- You are requesting that payment be made to a name other than the one on your account registration.
- You are requesting that payment be sent to an address different than the one listed on the account.
- You change or add information relating to your designated bank.
- You wish to add or remove an individual or party to or from your account registration.
Delafield Fund, Inc. reserves the right to require a Signature Guarantee under certain other circumstances.
Why do I need a Signature Guarantee? The Delafield Fund requires a Signature Guarantee for certain transactions to protect the security of your account. A Signature Guarantee may be obtained from a bank or brokerage house. The guarantee means that the signature is legitimate and that the institution granting the stamp will be liable in the event of fraud. A notarization alone does not guarantee a signature.
Where can I get a Signature Guarantee? You can get a Signature Guarantee from most broker-dealers, national or state banks, credit unions, federal savings and loan associations or other eligible institutions. You cannot obtain a Signature Guarantee from a notary public. The Signature Guarantee must appear on the same document as the signature(s) being guaranteed and as close as possible to the signature.

Please contact the fund's Transfer Agent at 800-221-3079 for questions regarding wiring instructions and electronic funds transfer information or to have an Automatic Investment Form sent to you.
Can I change the amount of my Automatic Investment Plan purchases by telephone? For your security purposes, we request that all changes to the Automatic Investment Plan be sent to us in writing and that they be Signature Guaranteed.
